JK Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Details

• Applicants must be women only.
• Candidates must be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Candidates must be residents of the constituency where the Anganwadi Center (AWC) is located. Presence in the voter list of the ward will be considered proof of residence.

Educational qualification

Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)

• Minimum Qualification: 10+2 pass.
• Maximum Qualification: Graduation. Candidates with higher qualifications than Graduation will not be considered.
• If no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a 10+2 pass candidate from a neighboring ward may be considered with the prior approval of the Mission Director of Mission Nutrition.
• Selection will be based solely on merit, using the marks obtained in 10+2; no other criteria will be considered.

Sahayika (Anganwadi Assistant)

• Minimum Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10th).
• If no Matriculation passed candidates are available in the Panch Ward, candidates with at least Class 8th qualification will be considered.
• As per the applicable Human Resource Policy, the maximum qualification for the Sahayika post is a 10th class pass.
