HSSC CET Group D Exam Pattern 2026: The CET Group D Exam 2026, conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), is a mandatory eligibility test for various Group D recruitments in the state. According to various educational and test preparation sources, the exam will be conducted in offline OMR-based mode, and the question paper will be available in both Hindi and English. The total exam duration will be 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes), consisting of 100 objective-type (MCQ) questions. There is no negative marking in the exam, but if a candidate does not wish to answer a question, they must select the fifth option, “Not Attempted,” or else 0.95 marks will be deducted for each question.

According to the syllabus, 15 questions each will be asked from General Knowledge, General Science, and Mathematics. Reasoning will consist of 10 questions, 10 questions in English, and 15 questions in Hindi. Additionally, Haryana General Knowledge has been given the highest weightage in the exam, with 25 questions asked from it. Consequently, the exam will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The Haryana GK section primarily includes questions related to Haryana’s history, geography, culture, literature, environment, current affairs, and general awareness.

The exam level is considered to be approximately equivalent to 10th grade, so candidates should focus on math, general science, reasoning, language skills, and Haryana general knowledge. Based on previous years’ patterns, Haryana GK and general awareness play a crucial role in success. Alphabetical order, series, Coding-decoding, direction and distance, order and ranking, blood relation, analogy, classification, clock, calendar, mirror image, water image, syllogism, sitting arrangement, inserting the missing characters, statement and assumption, statement and conclusion, counting figures, Non-verbal series, analogy and classification.(10% Weightage)

Quantitative Ability:

The test will cover Number System, including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, Relationship between numbers. L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, roots, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Partnership business, Mixture and Allegation, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Trigonometry, basic Algebra, Geometry. English Language:

English Grammar, Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, tenses.(10% Weightage)

General Knowledge of Haryana:

General awareness which includes History, Literature, Geography, Economy, Civics, Polity, Environment, Art, Culture, Customs, Society, Current Affairs. Events etc. of Haryana (25% weightage)
