Birth/Death Certificate: Birth registration in the state of Haryana is carried out in accordance with the Birth and Death Registration Act and the Haryana Birth and Death Registration Rules. Accordingly, every birth must be reported and registered within 21 days, using the prescribed reporting form, at the place of birth.

Birth certificates in Haryana are issued by the local PHC/CHC in rural areas and the Municipal Corporation of Haryana (MC) in urban areas, within 7 days of receiving the prescribed application form from the applicant. After a brief inquiry, the Registrar will register the case and issue the certificate. If the birth occurred in a moving vehicle, registration will be done at the first stop of the vehicle.
