IGNOU Assignment 2026: If you have filled out an online form for someone at IGNOU and haven’t submitted the assignments yet, please submit them before the last dates.

IGNOU Assignment 2026 submission rules

• Assignments must be handwritten; typed assignments will not be accepted.
• The handwriting should be neat and legible.
• The paper size should be uniform, and writing should only be on one side of the paper.
• Use only a black or blue ink pen. Do not use a red ink pen.
• The assignments must be submitted together in a single spiral binding, with separate question papers for each course.
• Students should complete the assignment work at home, not during practical/theory sessions.
• Students must submit the assignments as per the prior notification given by the Study Centre.
• Last date for submission of assignments: (Unless extended by IGNOU-New Delhi)
• September 30th for the December Term End Examination.
• Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
• Do not send assignments via email.

The assignment should include the following details:

• Enrollment number
• Name, Address and Contact number of the Student
• Question paper in printed format
• Program Title
• Course Title & Course Code
• Assignment Code Number
• Date of submission
• Signature

IGNOU Assignment 2026 Important Points

• Attach the “Acknowledgement Receipt Copy” with your assignment.
• Collect the signed acknowledgement receipt from the study center staff when submitting your assignment.
• Attach a photocopy of the downloaded question paper with your assignment.
• Do not attach handwritten question papers.
• The Coordinator/Study Center reserves the right to reject assignments received after the due date. Therefore, students are advised to submit their assignments before the due date.
• “Using unfair means/copying assignments” is not allowed.
