
RRB Bharti 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (Railway Recruitment Board) has released the official notification for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment, bringing major relief to candidates waiting for railway jobs. A total of 11,127 vacancies will be filled across various railway zones in India under this recruitment drive.
Application Process Started
The online application process has begun from May 15. Interested candidates can apply through the official portal RRB Application Portal. The last date to submit applications is June 14.
Candidates must register through the centralized recruitment system and select their preferred Railway Recruitment Board while filling out the application form. Selected candidates will be appointed across different railway zones in India.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet any one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Matriculation/SSLC (Class 10 pass) with ITI in relevant trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, etc.
- Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile)
- BE/BTech degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules
Selection Process
The recruitment process will include multiple stages:
- CBT-1 (Computer Based Test)
- CBT-2
- CBAT (Aptitude Test)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Candidates must qualify each stage to move forward in the selection process.
Final Selection Criteria
The final merit list will be prepared based on CBT-2 Part A and CBAT scores, each carrying 50% weightage. Candidates who successfully clear all stages will be appointed as Assistant Loco Pilots in Indian Railways.
