The Haryana government is running the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana to provide financial assistance for the marriage of daughters from all sections of society, including persons with disabilities. Objective of the Scheme

The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial support to economically weaker families and ensure that the marriage of daughters does not become a financial burden. The government aims to promote social security and inclusivity through this initiative.

Financial Assistance Under the Scheme

  • ₹71,000 for daughters belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), De-notified Castes, and Tapriwas communities
  • ₹41,000 for daughters of Backward Classes and General Category families with annual income up to ₹1.80 lakh
  • ₹51,000 for daughters of widowed, orphaned, divorced, and destitute women and their children
  • ₹51,000 if both bride and groom are persons with disabilities
  • ₹41,000 if either the bride or groom is a person with disability (subject to income limit of ₹1.80 lakh)

Eligibility Conditions

To avail benefits under the scheme, applicants must meet certain conditions:

  • Belong to the eligible category as defined by the scheme
  • Meet the prescribed annual income criteria, where applicable
  • Marriage registration must be completed within six months after the wedding
