Haryana HPS Promotion: 21 Haryana Police Service Officers Promoted to IP

Haryana HPS Promotion: Twenty-one officers of the Haryana Police Service (HPS) have received promotion to the Indian Police Service (IPS). The officers had been waiting for their elevation for a long time, and the proposal has now been approved by the Union Home Ministry.

According to sources, a promotion committee meeting was held on April 28 to consider the names of eligible officers. Following the committee’s recommendations, the Home Ministry has now given its final approval for their induction into the IPS cadre.

Four Officers Already Retired

Among the promoted officers, four have already retired from service. Out of them, three officers are expected to get an opportunity to serve again as IPS officers. However, one retired officer has crossed the age limit of 60 years and will only receive the benefit of pension increment.

Two Officers Given Provisional Promotion

Sources said that two HPS officers have been granted provisional promotion. They have been asked to submit the required documents and complete formalities by December 2026. Their promotions will be confirmed after verification of records.
